Family Values
I strongly believe in
my family’s values. Our traditions bring us close together especially at
holidays and vacations. I love the anticipation of our gatherings for other
events like movie nights, nature center activities, zoo visits and other traditional
events. This feeling of belonging makes me feel loved. My respect for
everyone including family, friends, teachers, elders and peers has been
instilled in me for as long as I can remember. Responsibility is taken for
granted in my family because it is ingrained in our being. Our family values include traditions, belonging, love, and respect, but let’s evaluate my family
traditions first.
My first Christmas that
I remember is an example of one of our great family traditions. I woke up to a
cold winter morning; there was a winter wonderland outside my grandma and
grandpa's house. The snow was coming down making it a beautiful day. I ran out
of my bedroom straight to my grandma saying, "Snow!". I had never
seen snow before, and I had to go outside to see it. But I had to wait until I
ate breakfast. My grandpa was making his famous flip pancakes. He was a hoot.
The pancakes were being thrown up in the air. After all my family members
consumed the mouth-watering pancakes; then it was time for presents. My Aunt
Lissa brought me a giant stand, but there was something on top of it. It was
rapped in red and green paper with a big bow on top of it. I ripped the
paper and bow off as fast as I could; under that paper was a surprise. It was a
saddle! I jumped up onto the saddle and started acting like I was riding a
horse. Little did I know that was only half the presents I was going to receive.
Then my aunt took me outside to my grandpa's barn, and I had to walk in my
aunt's footprints because the snow was so tall. When we got around the corner,
there was a majestic horse named Black Beauty. Holidays are always great
with my family, but so are vacations.
Trail riding has become one
of my favorite summer vacation activity traditions. The day was a brilliant
sunny day. The wind was a light breeze; we were driving to Wilson Creek
Battlefield. The horses were all loaded up in the trailer. We had brought three
of our horses. Pumpkin was a short, white and brown appaloosa horse, but his
hair looked like a Mohawk. Maggie was a strawberry roan that we like to call
"short fat girl." Spot was a white and brown spotted paint. This was
my first trail ride! I am so excited that I was saddling Spot as fast as I
could. Than I did Maggie for my aunt while she did my sister's horse Pumpkin.
Then everything was ready and we were off and into the magical woods. You can
sometimes barley see the sun peek out through the trees. The woods were amazing
with the birds and buzzing bugs interacting. The next thing I knew it was over
and we had to go back to reality. I didn't want to, but we had to. This was a
most wonderful day, but more adventures were to come. The trail riding tradition
is just one thing in the long line of traditions that also includes the movies
that the whole family enjoys.
Another tradition in our family is book reading
followed by watching the movie. The books we have read lately are the Hunger
Games, Twilight, Mortal Instrument and Divergent series. The days go by slow
when we are wait for the night to come to see these amazing book movies. We
have lots of fun at these show. The school times help the day go by fast. We
all meet up at my grandma's house to have supper. We make cupcakes for dessert
with fun symbols on top of the cupcake for the book we are about to see.
It is a blast! When we are eating, we watch the movie that came before
the movie we are about to see. We arrive at the theater early before the movie
starts and we talk about what we like in the book and what we hope to see in
the movie. Our excitement is rising by the minute. The crowd in the theater is
filling up the seats, and everyone is waiting for the lights to dim. The list
of family members grabbing their rows of seats includes: aunts, cousins,
sisters, grandma, and friends. When all the commercials are over, the movie
starts. As the title pops up on the screen, people are hooping and cheering at
the title. When the hot actor appears, the screaming begins. Then after the
movie is over and the crowd is tired from waiting till midnight to see the
movie we shuffle to our cars and head for bed because work and school are
today. On the car ride home the excitement continues as we talk about what we
liked and what we wished they would change. This excitement is greater because
of our family enjoying the book reading and movie watching together as a
tradition.
When you think about respect, what comes to mind in your head? I will tell you what respect means to me. It means a lot to me and every one should have it, because without respect we wouldn't have trust. I respect everyone I meet; I learned that at an early age like everyone else. The first time we learn that is with our parent. They know what is best for us, so we don't get into trouble. I show them that I respect them by doing what they want me to do like helping with the chores around the house. It's not a big thing to do; it is an easy to do. It is also like telling my family that I love them. Another way to show this respect is with my teacher. If a teacher tells me to do something a different way, I do not contradict her by saying "No, I'll do it my way or the highway". It is disrespectful and the teacher has feeling too, and they are just trying to help me. I believe in always being respectful to other and think about how I want to be treated.
From what I have shown you about tradition and respect, I hope will enlighten you. Traditions are in every family and it is especially important in mine as you can see. I hope it has made you want to make new ones in your family and reflect on the ones you already have in your family. Respect is also important for everyone one way or another. It can improve your relations with family, teachers and friends. My life is better because of my family values especially our traditions and respect.

This I Belive
Disney Side
Walt Disney has shaped my life as will as millions of others with his views. I think
everyone has a Disney side in their life. You may not see it right now, but it
is there. I have a Disney side; I love to watch all the Disney movies. Name
someone who could not name one Disney movie they really loved. Walt Disney was
an amazing man; he could draw and create such fun characters. I strongly agree
with Disney that everyone should have some fun and laughter in their life. Walt
Disney had that in mind when he developed his films. The characters he has made
have personality like our own. For instance, look at my personality. I am like
Belle from Beauty and the Beast. She loves to read and learn
which I also enjoy. No matter how you look at it, we all have something we love
to do, and Walt Disney brings it out in us. The films can tell us that we need
to love, to face danger, or to forgive someone. The films can teach you a lot
of things, and they make us forget what is stressing us out. Laughter is one of
the best cures for the tenseness of everyday life. Think about what you love,
and how Walt Disney has represented you in his films. I hope everyone
has a place inside them that is a Disney side. They should have a fun time and
just enjoy life. So, curl up on the coach and get that Disney movie going with
that popcorn right beside you.
Be Cool To The Pizza Dude
It is my
nature to show kindness to others. In my driving, I am always cautious
with everyone. I don’t try to endanger the lives of others. I am
hard working when it comes to my schoolwork as the pizza guy is to his work.
When he brings my pizza, I consider him as an equal.
I disagree with the idea of that all pizza delivery people are
hard working and honest and CEO cause the bankruptcies of their
companies. It’s all right to disagree with an article, because it’s just their
opinion. We don’t always have to agree with everything.

Freewriting - fear
FEAR
My two fears are spiders and clowns. I will first tell you about my fear of spiders called arachnophobia. Just looking at a spiders makes me cringe. The spider fear is one of the most common fear of all fears. The fear is basted on the eight legs which lets them climb the walls. The thing that scares people the most about spiders is the eight eyes that start at you. A lot of people have fears in their lives. I can picture the spider in my mind, and it is making me hate this writing assignment. It is not common that people have fear. Just thinking about how many there are is over whelming. Next, I will tell you about my fear of clown that is called coulrophobia. This clown fear started when the movie called "It" came out. Ever since people have seen the movie they have been terrified of clowns. I hope this fear will go away sometime because I would like to laugh at clowns instead of fear them. Clowns are suppose to make you laugh. The thought of clowns still makes me scared about them every time I think of them. These fear and many others are with us every day. Sometimes we can try to avoid them, but somethings we see everyday. Some of the fears people have can be kind of funny; you can even get a laugh at them. But it is best not to laugh at the peoples' fears. . Some people can get over their fears. I for one am getting better with the spiders. Though sometimes I don't think I will ever get over it forever. If you have a fear try to embrace it as your own. I try to! There are millions of fears out there. I think some of the fears are fascinating to see. Why does that person have that fear? What caused it to happen? If you have a fear try not to tell people because they will try to scare you with it. I told someone once and now every time I see that person they scare me. It is like torture to see him. I think it is wrong to try and scare someone. It is better to help them through it.
I Think It Is Wrong To Scare Someone With Their Fear
I think it is wrong to scare someone with their own fear. One day, I was going to a friend's house, and they told me to come on. So I did! When I got in the house, they said "I am in my room". So I head to her room. When I walked in, she was hiding in her closet She popped out the the closet wearing a clown mask, and she had a real spider in her hand. I ran as fast as I could out the door. I never knew I could run that fast. I ran into a wall because I was trying to see if she was behind me. It hurt so much that I had a red mark on my forehead. She was laughing up a storm right beside me with the spider in her hand. I was so mad at her I got up off the floor. I was never so mad in my life before that day. I always try to think on the bright side, but today I'm thinking dark. I yelled at her like a bat gone loco. After that, she got real quiet, and start apologizing to me. I didn't want to accept her apology and make up with her on that day. The next time I came over; I thought we were cool again. I hadn't talked to her for a week at school or texts. Little did I know I was wrong because she brought her other friends over, and they all had masks on and spiders. I felt like I was running for my live. I ran for my car, and I never came back or was friends with her AGAIN.
Friends
What is a friend? How can you tell from a good
one to a bad one? That is just the thing friends can be good and bad. I have
had my fair share of bad friends. The one friend I trusted to be my friend
was a horrible friend to me. If you could count all your friends which one of
them can you count on? That is one of the things people look for someone who
has your back. Lets say you need help with someone who would be there to help
you. Who would be the one drop everything they are doing and come running
to you. Just think about what I have said and contemplate about your
friends. I have done that all the time and if they are mean to you and scare
you all the time; well then I think you have a bad friend. You need to think
about what to do with that friend. The first thing I would try and do is
talk to your friends and get them to know the situation. Secondly I would see
if they understand what you say. If they don't change and are still mean to
you. Then they scare you everyday. Then I would drop them as your friend.
These are the things about friends. I hope you have liked this blog thank you
for your time.

Sister- fight
My sister can be the worse person in the world. Sometimes we can have the best of times, or sometimes it is the worst of times. It can be hard with her because she likes to hit me. I try to be the older sister and not hit her back. There can be a breaking point when she hits me, but I do love her. The things we fight over at times can he hurtful or just plain stupid. Sometimes, I wish we could get along. The current fighting is because she doesn't want to be like me, go to college, and get her education which I think is stupid on her part. It is her life, but I just hope she makes the right decision to the best of her ability. My parents don't know what to do with her either. If she could just turn her out- bursts around, that would make it a lot easier in the house. We still love her. I can't think, I can't think, I can't think when it gets too loud in the house. We can get along watching movies at times. I love riding horses with her. If the world was not so rough, we could live in harmony. I love the song of that. It is funny sometimes when you can sit and talk to someone and get all your anger out, but not to the point of yelling it to the whole world. I think if Courtney would just talk and not be so angry at times, we could get along quiet nicely. I love the days when it is nice and peaceful in the car because Courtney is not yelling.
Twin Pines - Vlounteer
It is a beautiful bright sunny day. The birds are chriping. I am sitting in the front set with my Aunt Melanie. I can't wait to start my first volunteer day. I am meeting all the people who work for my aunt. The Twin Pine Nature Center is a lovely place to go. The first person I meet is Wyatt. He is fuuny. I am heading to the archery center to teach the children to shoot arrows from a bow. I am showing the wrong way to hold it. I accidentally hit my face with the bow. and the kids laugh at what I have done. Finally, we start to shoot the bow and arrows; it is fun to do. Next, I go down to the pond to help with the fishing. The kid are doing fine with the fishing. Then I see my aunt coming down the hill. She asks if I want to go to the river, and I say yes. I run up the hill and hop in to the van with Wyatt and a girl. I don't know who she is. I just brush it off. I am happy to go to the river. It is a long road to the river. I can hardly stand it. Everyone starts to head down the hill, but I stay back because I need to use the restroom. I go to the port-a-poddy, but little did I know there is a suprise inside. I go to the bathroom, and right when I get the toilet paper out pops a swarm on wasps. It is so scary; I run out of the toilet. That was the worst part of the day volunteering for my aunt.

My Personality
My Personality
I took the Jung Typology test. They say I am Extravert, Sensor, Feeler, and Judger. I strongly agree with them. For those of you who don't know what these categories are, I will enlighten you. Extraverts are those who loves to be around people. Sensors use facts and live in the moment. Feelers are ones who feel for the other person and get attached real easy. Judgers are black and white who don't have a grey area. Let us being with how this relates to my writing.
The prediction for writers who test into ESFJ is they are motivated to write about their live. They describe feelings and try to please their readers. When they write scientific papers, they use measurable facts, but they have to be careful not to make it too casual. This sounds like the way I would write. I always use a basic format that has worked for me and this is part of the ESFJ. I always revise my paper three or four times before turning it in. It is almost as if they studied my writing habits. I found that I did better on my stories than research papers. This has helped me realize the difference, so I can be more aware of how to write these different types.
When I look at this, I realize everyone in this category is like me. I am not so strange and different; there are others out there. Is there anyone else out there with this category? If so, enjoy who you are; I do.
